about

"Living on borrowed time" is about life in the straight jacket of modern society running on debt as well as the discrepancy between who we want to be and who we are. It is about the disillusion with people who waste time spinning around in circles or engaging in meaningless conflicts.
It is about the desire to outgrow the habits of the past and to step into a new state of mind no longer ruled by mediocre attachments, fears, superstitions and jaded behavior patterns.

lyrics

Living on Borrowed Time

Living on borrowed time, living on borrowed time
See us wasting time, wasting precious time
I feel like shedding my old skin, shedding my old skin
So I can finally begin, finally begin

To reach out before it’s too late
For a chance in a lifetime to cast away the fear
And those habits we once came to embrace
In the shame of knowing that we never gave our best

For the word we write and the song we sing
For the work we do and the smile we bring
For the truth we seek and the life we live
For the step we take and the peace we make

Living on borrowed time, living on borrowed time
See us wasting time, wasting precious time
I feel like shedding my old skin, shedding my old skin
So I can finally begin, finally begin

To revive what has been left behind to die
In the wake of our everyday convenience
For the sake of one dimensional desire
Would you turn your back on providence or would you rather die

For the word you write and the song you sing
For the work you do and the smile you bring
For the truth you seek and the life you live
For the step you take and the peace you make

Living on borrowed time, living on borrowed time
No more wasting time, wasting precious time
I feel like shedding my old skin, shedding my old skin
So I can finally begin, finally begin

To retrace my footsteps in the sand of time
To a place I once knew before my baby steps
From where life is nothing but a state of mind
And the keeper of this hourglass has nothing left to hide

From the word we write and the song we sing
From the work we do and the smile we bring
From the truth we seek and the life we live
From the step we take and the peace we make (times 2)
